Since its founding in 1979, Meals-on-Wheels of White Plains has been proudly fulfilling one crucial mission: to serve nutritious meals to our neighbors who are unable to shop and cook for themselves.
Our deliveries are made by dedicated volunteers, who fan out across the city, to every neighborhood, bringing hot and cold meals to each of our 75 to 80 clients per week, tailored to their individual dietary needs and preferences. With volunteers, we eliminate delivery expenses; our major cost item is meal preparation.
We are an independent not-for-profit organization. Our largest source of income is in the form of individual donations from neighbors like you.
Now, more than ever, we need your help to keep our program operating, as it has been for over 40 years.
Every single donation helps. A $60 gift will feed a client for a week; $240 for a month.
